Ports

Ports Section (Left Sidebar → "Ports" Tab)

This section lists all open ports across the domain and its subdomains. Ports represent communication endpoints used by services, and monitoring them is crucial for identifying potential security risks or misconfigurations.

1. Port Number

  • Shows the specific port (e.g., 443) used for communication.

  • Example: In exammple.com, port 443 (HTTPS) is open, indicating secure web traffic.

2. Type

  • Indicates the protocol type used by the port (e.g., TCP or UDP).

  • In the screenshots, most are TCP, which is commonly used for reliable connections like web, email, and database services.

3. HTTP/HTTPS

  • Shows whether the port runs over HTTP (insecure) or HTTPS (secure).

  • Example: Ports 443 are all HTTPS, meaning they use encryption via SSL/TLS.

4. Subdomain Association

  • Each port is tied to a subdomain of the main domain.

  • Example: webdisk.cycstack.ps or online.cycstack.ps may both expose port 443.

5. Status

  • Displays if the service behind the port is Live (active) or inactive.

  • Helps identify active endpoints that require monitoring and patching.

6. ASN Ownership

  • Shows the organization responsible for hosting the IP where the port is found.

  • Example: Could be Cairo Amman Bank PLC, Microsoft Corporation, or Cloudflare Inc. depending on the subdomain.

7. Last Scan

  • Indicates when the system last scanned that port.

  • Example: Many show "5 months ago," meaning the data is slightly outdated and may need a rescan.

8. Group by Subdomains (Checkbox – Top Right)

  • Allows regrouping ports by their associated subdomain for easier analysis.

  • Example: Instead of listing all open ports together, you can see all ports for api.cycstack.ps grouped in one view.
