VIPs

VIPs (Very Important Persons)

The VIPs tab is dedicated to monitoring the exposure of high-value individuals (executives, board members, politicians, celebrities, or critical stakeholders). These individuals are prime targets for attackers because their credentials, communications, and personal data can be leveraged for corporate espionage, fraud, or reputation damage.

Information Provided When a VIP profile is added, AttackMetricx continuously scans dark web sources and presents exposures in a structured table with the following fields:

  • URL → The platform or service where the VIP’s credentials were leaked.

  • Email → The compromised email address linked to the VIP.

  • Password → The exact exposed password associated with the account.

  • Strength → Classification of the password (Weak, Medium, Strong).

  • Tag → Labels such as Employee, Executive, or Board Member for prioritization.

  • Detection Date → When AttackMetricx first identified the leaked credential.

  • Severity → Risk rating (Low, Medium, High) based on sensitivity and potential impact.

  • Source → The underground market, forum, or botnet where the data was found.

  • Status → Indicates whether the case is Resolved or Not Resolved.

Why it matters

  • Protecting VIPs reduces the blast radius of a breach: once a senior executive is compromised, attackers can pivot to privileged systems or sensitive negotiations.

  • AttackMetricx applies AI-driven correlation to connect leaked VIP identifiers (e.g., email + reused password) into exposure chains, highlighting the true business risk.

  • Integrated dark web monitoring ensures that if a VIP’s identity is discussed, sold, or exposed, real-time alerts are instantly dispatched to the recipients you define in the Notifications settings.

Example Use Case Adding the CEO of example.com as a VIP ensures that if their credentials or phone number appear in stealer logs or dark web forums, the system immediately raises an alert with contextual scoring, allowing proactive intervention.

A dedicated section explains in detail how to add and configure VIPs (Very Important Persons). Please refer to the Identifiers → VIPs section for step-by-step guidance.
